Additionally, 11 administrative and academic facilities under its jurisdiction were destroyed, representing 79 percent of such structures in Gaza. The ministry said the Israeli military killed 238 of its employees and wounded 19 during ground attacks in the areas. Others have been taken into custody.
Religious Affairs Ministry condemned the attacks
The ministry condemned the attacks on Gaza’s religious sites and urged the international community, including world governments and Islamic organizations, to intervene as soon as possible to stop the “ongoing war of destruction.” Israel has continued its fierce attack on the Gaza Strip following the attack by the Palestinian group Hamas last October 7, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.
How many people died?
More than 41,800 people have died since then, mostly women and children, while more than 96,800 have been injured, according to local health officials.
