Israel Hamas War Qatari PM Meets With Israeli Hostages Families In Doha


Israel Hamas War: The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas will complete three months today (Sunday, January 07). Israel claims that in these three months the top commanders of Hamas have been killed. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met the Israeli families held hostage by Hamas.

According to the Times of Israel report, Qatar’s PM spoke to relatives of six hostages. During this, he promised to start talks again to bring back their loved ones from Gaza Strip. However, Thani also said that the talks have become more complicated due to the killing of the extremist group’s deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri and several other senior members of the Gaza-ruling group in an attack in Beirut last Tuesday. Let us tell you that Israel has been held responsible for the death of Saleh al-Arouri.

Six Israeli families met

Following Arouri’s assassination, Hamas reportedly halted negotiations through Qatar and Egypt. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised relatives of the hostages on Tuesday that negotiations were ongoing for their return. The families of six Israeli hostages held by Hamas traveled on Friday to Doha, where Hamas leaders also live, for a meeting with authorities, according to reports. This is the first time that the families of the hostages have visited Qatar.

Also discussed in Qatar’s Foreign Ministry

According to reports, the families of the hostages met Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, on Saturday. After this he met the Qatari Prime Minister. During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Qatar told him that after this conversation he realized what pain the victims’ families are going through.
