Jagannath Temple: Puri Jagannath Temple of Odisha is popular in the country and the world. Let us tell you that earlier Ratna Bhandar was opened on 14th July 1985. After this it was never opened. In all these years the key of Ratna Bhandar was also lost. What was found from the treasure house of Jagannath temple?

The purpose of opening the Ratna Bhandar after 46 years is to make a list of the jewellery and valuables and to repair the storehouse. However, it will take time to make a complete list of the items taken out from the Ratna Bhandar. According to a report, the Ratna Bhandar contains precious gold and diamond jewellery offered to God. The Ratna Bhandar has two chambers. These have inner and outer treasures.

Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Arvind Padhi said that three keys of the outer chamber of the Ratna Bhandar were available and the keys of the inner chamber were missing.

According to Odisha Magazine, the outer treasury contains Lord Jagannath’s gold crown and three gold necklaces. The inner treasury contains about 74 gold ornaments, each weighing about 100 tolas. It also contains ornaments made of gold, silver, diamonds, coral and pearls.
