Jaggery works as an immunity booster in winter, know this special recipe of jaggery

Jaggery and sesame laddus

Ingredients:

  • Sesame (white) – 1 cup
  • Jaggery (crushed) – ½ cup
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – ½ spoon
  • Cashews or almonds (optional) – ¼ Cup, chopped

Method:

  • First of all, roast the sesame seeds in a pan until they turn golden. Keep the roasted sesame seeds aside.
  • Now add some ghee in the same pan and melt the jaggery on medium flame. Let the jaggery melt well so that it becomes smooth.
  • After the jaggery melts completely, add roasted sesame seeds, cardamom powder, and chopped cashews or almonds.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and make small laddus once they are hot. . If the mixture is too hot, let it cool a little.
  • After making the laddus, let them cool and then store in an airtight container. 

Consumption method:These laddus are perfect as a morning or evening snack. Not only is it a delicious snack, these laddus also provide you with energy and help keep your body warm in winters. 

Tips:

  • Be careful while roasting sesame seeds as they can burn quickly.
  • It is important to melt the jaggery completely. So that the laddus can be made well. 
  • If you want to make the laddus a little hard, then cook the mixture of jaggery and sesame for some more time.
