Terrorist Attack: On Wednesday (12 June), terrorists opened fire on a policeman in Gandoh area of ​​Doda district of Jammu. The policeman has been injured in this firing incident. After carrying out this incident, the terrorists fled from the spot. However, a search operation is going on in the area.

It is noteworthy that in the last four days, four encounters have taken place between security forces and terrorists in Jammu division. According to Jammu Police, an encounter took place between security forces and terrorists at Kota Top in Gandoh area of ​​Doda district on Wednesday evening at around 8:20. A constable Farid Ahmed was injured in this encounter. There was firing between security forces and terrorists for some time in the area and now the security personnel have surrounded the entire area.

Second terrorist incident in Doda district in 24 hours

Officials said that at around 7:41 pm, firing was reported from Kota Top area of ​​Bhalesha, to which the security forces retaliated. Intermittent firing was going on between the two sides till the last report was received.

He said that additional forces have been sent to the area to strengthen the cordon. This is the second terrorist incident in Doda in the last 24 hours and the fourth incident in three days in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, on the evening of June 11, five soldiers of the National Rifles and a special police officer were injured in a terrorist attack at Chattargalla Pass.

Fourth terrorist incident since June 9

In another incident late on June 11, security forces killed a suspected Pakistani terrorist in Kathua district. The overnight encounter ended after another terrorist was also killed on June 12, but a CRPF jawan was martyred in this operation.

On June 9, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims, causing it to go off the road and fall into a deep gorge in Reasi, killing nine people and injuring 41. In the case of the terror attack on the passenger bus in Reasi district, the Jammu and Kashmir Police released a sketch of a terrorist involved in the incident and announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for information about him.
