Terrorist Attack in Reasi Jammu: Premchand Kannaujiya, a resident of Bhairopur in Khorabar area of Gorakhpur, received a call from his son Saurabh alias Shani on Sunday evening at 5 pm from Jammu. The son said- Papa! There has been a terrorist attack, bullets are being fired all around, our bus has overturned in a ditch. I am talking to you hiding in the forest. Premchand was shocked on hearing this.
In fact, terrorists attacked a bus full of devotees going from Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir to Reasi on Sunday. 9 devotees died in this, 41 were injured. The family of Premchand Kannaujiya, a resident of Bhairopur and his relatives from Purdilpur were also injured in this. On June 4, 14 people from both the families had left together to visit Mata Vaishno Devi in Jammu.
Premchand Kannaujiya said that on June 4, his wife Gayatri, Saurabh alias Shani, daughter Aarohi and five other members of his in-laws’ side including Rajesh, resident of Golghar Kali Mandir Purdilpur, his wife Rixona, Soni had gone to visit the Vaishno Devi temple.
After offering prayers, they reached Shivkhodi for darshan. They were returning to Katra at 4:30 pm on Sunday. The bus was attacked by terrorists in the hilly area. The bus went out of control and fell into the ditch after the driver was shot.
Gayatri Devi, Rajesh, Rixona and Soni were seriously injured when the bus fell into the ditch. Premchand’s son Shani was also sitting in the bus, but he narrowly escaped. The other children were in the guest house at the time of the attack, so they survived safely. The four injured are being treated in Jammu.
