Jamui. A teacher received the joining letter. She retired a day before she was to join her job with the joining letter. This matter of the teacher’s retirement became a topic of discussion in the district just a day after receiving the joining letter. The case is related to Jamui district, where a teacher was given the joining date a day after her retirement. Due to which she could not join her job.
Anita Kumari, working in Plus Two High School Shobhakhan in Khaira block area of Jamui district, retired a day before her joining. Actually, this whole matter is related to the competency test, due to which the incident with this teacher has come to light.
Gave the exam to become a special teacher
In Bihar, competency test is being organized by the education department and the teachers who pass the competency test are being given the status of special teacher. Anita Kumari, a teacher posted in Shobhakhan Vidyalaya, had also given the competency test, the result of which came in the month of April itself. But, he received the joining letter in the month of December and on January 1, he received instructions to join as a special teacher. One day before joining her job, on 31 December 2024, the teacher’s tenure ended and she retired from her post. After this the teacher could not even contribute as a special teacher.
was working as a panchayat teacher
Teacher Anita Kumari was appointed as Panchayat teacher in the year 2006 and since then she was continuously working as Panchayat teacher. On March 6, 2014, she passed the TET exam and contributed as a high school teacher and since then she was posted in Shobhakhan Vidyalaya. In 2024, he took the Competency-1 examination and on 30 December 2024, he was given an appointment letter to contribute as a special teacher. On the basis of which he had to contribute to the school from 1st to 7th January 2025. But she retired on 31 December itself.
The teacher has retired as per departmental rules
Nirbhay Kumar, the headmaster in charge of the school, told Local 18 that as per the departmental rules, she has retired and a farewell ceremony has been organized in the school and she has also been bid farewell. Block Education Officer Mahesh Kumar said that as per departmental rules, a teacher is given retirement after completing 60 years of age. Anita Kumari has also been given retirement after completing 60 years of age. However, now this matter has become a topic of discussion in the entire district.
