Injured bike driver and child undergoing treatment in hospital

A woman riding a bike died on the spot after being hit by a speeding truck near the referral hospital on the NH-333 Jamui-Kharagpur main road in the Laxmipur police station area of Jamui. While the bike driver and a five-year-old child were seriously injured. After the incident, a crowd of local people gathered at the spot. After that, the local police station was informed about the incident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and with the help of the people, both the injured were sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Also, the body of the deceased was taken into custody and brought to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased has been identified as Rinku Devi (28), wife of Bablu Pandit, a resident of Bhurkunda in the Barhat police station area. While the injured have been identified as Priyanshu Kumar, son of Bablu Pandit, and Jitendra Kumar, a resident of Hadhadiya in the Laxmipur police station area.
According to the information, two days ago Rinku Devi had come to her sister-in-law’s house in Hadhadiya village of Laxmipur police station area. On Wednesday, Jitendra Kumar was going to Laxmipur Chowk on his bike to drop his elder brother Bajrangi Pandit’s sister-in-law Rinku Devi and her child. Then a speeding truck hit the bike near Laxmipur Referral Hospital on NH-333 Jamui-Kharagpur main road. Due to this, the woman sitting on the bike came under the truck and the truck driver tried to run away by crushing her. But the local people ran and caught him. In this incident, the woman died on the spot, while bike riders Jitendra Kumar and Priyanshu Kumar were injured. They were brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Here, the truck driver who was fleeing from the spot after the incident was caught and the vehicle was seized and brought to the police station. Regarding the incident, SHO Alok Kumar said that information was received that a woman riding a bike died after being hit by a truck, while two people were injured. Both the injured have been sent to Sadar for treatment. Along with this, the police have started further action by catching the driver and seizing the truck.
