A young man was beaten to death over a land dispute in Chinveria village of Laxmipur police station area of Jamui. This incident caused a sensation in the area. The deceased has been identified as Piyush Kumar, 15-year-old son of Malhu Yadav, a resident of Chinveria of Laxmipur police station area. On receiving information about the incident, the local police station reached the spot. Then the body was taken into custody and sent to Sadar Hospital Jamui for postmortem. After that the police started investigating the case.
Regarding the incident, the family members of the deceased said that Piyush went to see the Ashtayaam being held in the village on Friday night. But he did not return home till morning. After that, his family searched for him a lot, but could not find him. On Saturday morning, his body was found lying in a field on the banks of the river adjacent to the village.
The deceased’s father Malhu Yadav said that there was a dispute going on for many years with Monu Yadav, Alok Yadav, Nitish Yadav, Kartik Yadav, Mithilesh Yadav and Damodar Yadav of the same village over five decimal land. Therefore, it is suspected that these people killed his son and threw the body in the field on the banks of the river adjacent to the village. The deceased’s father said that earlier these people had threatened to kill his son. After that, the family had applied several times in Laxmipur police station for the safety of life and property. At the same time, the deceased’s father has also accused the case’s IO Saavan Kumar of hushing up the matter by taking bribe from the accused party.
Here, regarding the incident, Sadar SDPO Satish Suman said that on the basis of the statement of the deceased’s family, an FIR has been registered and the entire case is being investigated. Also, an FSL team has been called from Bhagalpur to investigate the entire case. Soon the FSL team will reach the spot and collect samples and other evidence and take it to the lab for investigation. Further action will be taken accordingly.
