Railways will provide packaged public food at Bareilly Junction for general class passengers. Apart from food stalls, vendors will also provide Janta food to the passengers. The packet will contain seven pooris of 175 grams each, 150 grams of vegetables and pickle as per railway standards. The price per packet has been kept at Rs 15.

There is currently no eatery at the junction. Passengers buy food and drink only from vendors or those who set up stalls at the junction. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Sudhir Kumar Singh has instructed the officers for continuous inspection. So that the railway passengers can get good quality, right quantity and food items at reasonable prices. Items of poor quality will not be allowed to be sold at the stations.

Vendors will not be able to sell bread dumplings, dumplings

Vendors will not be able to sell bread dumplings and dumplings at the junction. Actually, there are complaints regarding their quality. There is also a complaint of adding yellow color to the flour instead of gram flour. In such a situation, the sale of bread pakoras and dumplings has been banned at 150 stations under Moradabad Railway Division.

The restaurant will start by mid-July

Commercial Inspector Rakesh Singh said that the restaurant and eatery will also start at the junction by the middle of July. The restaurant on platform number one was lying closed for three years. IRCTC has given the operation of the eatery and restaurant to a private company. 80 percent work has been completed to open the restaurant by the private company.
