In Pal Basti of Karanpur village of Singramau police station area in Jaunpur, a mad husband killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a spade. After completing the incident, he locked the door in the morning itself and fled. After reaching Varanasi, he called his father and said that he had killed and locked him in the house. Police arrived on the information of the father-in-law of the deceased i.e. the father of the murderer, who lives in Mumbai, recovered the dead body. Family members are coming from Mumbai now.

Mahendra Pal, a resident of Karanpur village, had a dispute with his wife Shanti Devi on Monday night over some issue. In which the husband killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a spade. After the death of his wife, Mahendra called his father who currently lives in Mumbai and told him that he had killed Shanti and was running away from home after locking her in the room. On his information, the father informed the police about the incident in the morning. The police reached the spot and broke open the lock of the house and recovered Shanti’s body from inside. On the spot, ASP Gramin Shailendra Singh, along with the dog squad team, reached the spot and engaged in the investigation of the case. The ASP told that Shanti’s family members live in Mumbai. They are coming from there. The accused husband is being searched.
