Jawahar Lal Nehru Birth Anniversary: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Paid tribute to India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. While sharing a post on social media ‘X’, PM Modi said, “I pay tribute to former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on the occasion of his birth anniversary.” Pandit Nehru was born on 14 November 1889 and died in 1964 while holding the post of Prime Minister.

Pandit Nehru was a prominent leader of Indian politics and one of the leading pillars of the Indian freedom struggle. His contribution brought about many important changes in Indian society and politics. He made many policies towards making India a strong democracy. Apart from this, Pandit Nehru was also an excellent writer and historian. His books are still read by students and researchers of political and social sciences.
