JDU President Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) has presented his side. He said that when he has to resign, he will call the media persons for advice. He said Janata Dal United is one, and will remain one. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also rejected the news of Lalan Singh’s resignation. Senior JDU leader KC Tyagi also termed everything as nonsense. Bihar Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav also called it a product of the media. However, the market of rumors regarding Nitish Kumar and Lalan Singh as well as JDU is constantly hot.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh even claimed that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is a guest in his post for only a few days. Giriraj even expressed the possibility that JDU may also merge with RJD.
You pass through the intersection of Janpath and turn towards the road leading to JDU office from the roundabout leading to Jantar Mantar. Arrow marks and many posters of the only Nitish Kumar will be visible on both the roundabouts. A similar environment will be seen outside JDU headquarters also. JDU’s Delhi State President will also be seen, but JDU President Lalan Singh will be missing. But as soon as you move inside the JDU office, you will see a new poster of Nitish Kumar in front and a poster of Lalan Singh greeting him with folded hands on the other side. Posters of both the leaders will be seen together at the main door itself. If you climb up the stairs from here, you will find posters of both Nitish Kumar and Lalan Singh.
The JDU leader met at the office, on the condition of anonymity, said that look at the media news in Delhi. He is running the news based on the poster. This media never goes to ask such questions to BJP nor does it publish such news with any political imagination. At present, the National Executive meeting will be held tomorrow in Delhi. JDU source itself said that Nitish Kumar and Lalan Singh have come to Delhi.
‘Nitish never did deficit politics’
The media makes a lot of noise about the possibilities. This is said by someone involved in the JP movement and close to Nitish and Lalu. The source says that there is no need to explore more possibilities regarding Nitish Kumar. Many times such possibilities are false and sponsored. The source says that there are similar possibilities here too. Nitish is not going anywhere. Nor JDU President Lalan Singh. Nitish and Lalan will remain with the opposition in any situation.
Another source, who once worked as a bridge between RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar in Bihar, says that Nitish’s political and social position is not as strong as in 2016. Sometimes he was in the political driving seat in Bihar. The second dominant seat was with Lalu Prasad. BJP leader and country’s Home Minister Amit Shah has cleverly snatched this seat from him. The source says that now JDU and especially Nitish Kumar is not going to get anything special from BJP. Nitish also understands this. Anyway, Nitish has never done politics of much loss. So don’t look for possibilities. Wait till the third week of January 2024.
Why is smoke rising?
This smoke is rising according to sources. In its argument, arguments like the relationship between Vijay Chaudhary and Lalan Singh, poor performance of JDU under the leadership of Lalan Singh, Lalan Singh’s relation with RJD and especially Lalu Yadav are being made the basis. Senior Patna journalist Sanjay Verma says that Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh is keeping a soft corner from Tejashwi Yadav. The closeness with Lalu family is increasing the sourness. He says that it was because of Lalan that RCP Singh and Upendra Kushwaha left Nitish. In such a situation, Kushwaha can return as soon as Lalan is sidelined and Koeri and Kurmi votes will make Nitish stronger. Therefore, there is a possibility of Nitish being angry with Lalan. Lalan Singh is now going to cool down in politics. Alok Verma is working a lot on the politics of Bihar. Alok says that Nitish knows that Lalan Singh’s equations in BJP are not good. Then after going with BJP for the second time, Nitish returned and formed the government with Lalu, right? Lalu’s relations with Congress are stronger than Nitish. Lalu Prasad is the link between Congress and Nitish. The big question is that how many times will Nitish make a comeback? Is there any credibility in politics? Secondly, Nitish knows that JDU is going through a period of challenge. Be it Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly elections, it will need either RJD or BJP to overcome it. On the question of choosing a party between RJD and BJP, former Rajya Sabha MP from JDU says that in the changed circumstances, Nitish will choose RJD only. Actually, Nitish’s respect will remain here. Anyway, RJD does not have a face of his stature. Lalu Yadav is also going through health problems.
BJP also has a compulsion
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP contested on 17 seats and JDU on 17 seats and Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party on 6 seats. This complexity has increased in the perspective of 2024. Upendra Kushwaha, Jitan Ram Manjhi and both the factions of Lok Janshakti Party are relying on BJP. In such a situation, it will not be easy for Nitish Kumar to go there and create an equation of seats for BJP. JDU leaders are raising one more question. He says that BJP only does politics of creating stories and creating division. Ever since Nitish Kumar has joined RJD, there have been several reports published several times about the possibility of Nitish joining BJP after a gap and leaving RJD again. BJP leaders also keep giving impetus to such rumors for political gains.
