The authority applied for Net Zero certification in June 2024 and in October the IFC team inspected and verified the set standards. International Finance Corporation (IFC), an organization of the World Bank, has given this certificate on low carbon emissions.
Under Smart City Limited, this building has been built in just 90 days at a cost of Rs 10 crore. The energy consumption of the library has been fixed at only 30 MW per year whereas normally it is 150 MWh. Energy will be supplied from solar and wind energy, in which solar PV panels and wind turbines have been installed.
