Simple chicken is usually cooked in a pan. But, there is no need of embroidery to make this chicken. Rather, to make it, some coal and sal leaves are required.
Actually, we are talking about Chicken Dumbu, which is especially cooked by the tribals of Jharkhand. This is a very popular dish among the tribals. It is cooked with so little resources that you can easily cook it and eat it even in the middle of the forest. Its special thing is that it is diet friendly. That means it is not fried or filtered. That’s why this chicken is especially liked among fitness lovers.
This is how chicken dumbu is made
While preparing tribal dishes, Shalini said that this is the most popular dish of us tribals. The way of making it is also very special. First of all we cut the chicken into small pieces. Then wash it well and add red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, round chilli powder, salt and green chilli paste and mix. It has to be left for at least 2 hours to marinate. After this, take a little chicken in a sal leaf and wrap it inside and tie it with a rope. Wrap it well with aluminum foil and leave it to cook on low flame of coal. Let it cook on coal flame for at least one and a half to 2 hours.

When you open it after cooking, it tastes delicious along with its pleasant aroma. The special thing is that this chicken will open completely as soon as it goes into your mouth. Because, it is so soft that even people without teeth can eat it. People like to eat it when they go for picnic or trekking. Because it does not require much effort and resources.
