Alia Bhatt Box Office Record: Alia Bhatt’s film from which Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions was hoping that it might increase the revenue, does not seem to be coming true. Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ seemed to dash these expectations.
Budget and collection of ‘Jigra’
Alia Bhatt’s ‘Jigra’ neither had a good opening nor did the film seem to be taking advantage of the Dussehra holiday. The budget of the film is around Rs 90 crore. Whereas the film earned only Rs 4.55 crore on the first day. Today it has been 7 days since the release of the film.
Despite that, according to Sacknilk, the film has earned only Rs 78 lakh till 8:35 pm on the 7th day. The total collection of the film has been only Rs 21.98 crore.
‘Jigra’ is in bad shape after giving 11 hits
According to Bollywood Hungama, Alia Bhatt has done 18 films. Out of which 10 were hits and 1 was blockbuster. One film was average. If we look at the worst films of Alia’s career, only ‘Shaandaar’ (2015) comes to the fore. Despite that the film had earned Rs 43 crores.
But ‘Jigra’ has gone ahead of this film in the race of being a flop. Looking at the collection, it does not seem that the film will be able to earn even that much. The film neither got good reviews nor the love of the audience.
The reason was the weak story of the film. Also, the comparison with Divya Khosla Kumar’s ‘Savi’ released this year ruined the film.
Many happy days of Dharma Productions
According to the report given by the Registrar of Companies for the financial year 2023, Karan Johar’s company had earned a profit of only Rs 16 crore with a revenue of Rs 1044 crore, which is very low.
However, there have also been reports that the company may join hands with Saregama India and Reliance Industries is also in the race for stake in Dharma Productions. If this happens then the days of the company can definitely change.
