Jitin Prasad BJP Candidate : The riot of Lok Sabha elections 2024 has started. On Sunday (24 March), BJP has announced candidates for 111 seats across the country, in which Pilibhit seat has come into discussion. The reason for this is that by cutting the ticket of sitting MP Varun Gandhi, minister Jitin Prasad has been made the candidate in the Yogi government.
Varun Gandhi was vocal against his own government for some time. There are powerful ministers in Yogi government
Jitin Prasad is the current minister in the Yogi government. Jitin Prasad received his early education from Doon Public School. He has done B.Com from Delhi University and MBA from International Management Institute, Delhi. Jitin Prasad, who became active in politics after the death of his father Jitendra Prasad, is considered close to the Gandhi family, especially Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. He was also a member of Congress’ core group G-23. In 2001, Jitin Prasad became the national secretary of Youth Congress. In 2004 he graduated from Shahjahanpur. Lok Sabha Elections Fought and won.
When the seat was reserved in 2009, he became the first MP by winning the election from Dhaurahara seat, which was created after delimitation in the neighboring district Lakhimpur. Jitin Prasad broke ties with Congress on June 9, 2021 and joined BJP in Delhi. In September 21, he was included as a cabinet minister in the Yogi cabinet. Earlier in 2008, Jitin Prasad became Minister of State for Steel in the Central Government. From 2009 to 2011, he was given the responsibility of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. In January 2011, his ministry was changed and he was given the responsibility of Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry. Worked as Minister of State for Human Resource Development from October 2012 to May 2014. Jitin Prasad is counted among the leaders with a clean image.
