JoSAA Counseling Registration 2024 To Begin Today: After the results of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced Exam 2024 are released, now it is the turn of counseling. To register for JoSAA Counseling 2024, you have to visit the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority, whose address is – josaa.nic.in. Candidates who have cleared the JEE Mains or JEE Advanced exam can register for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs as well as IITs.
Counseling will be completed in these steps
The process of JoSAA counseling will be completed in several stages. First, there will be registration, then choice filling, in the next stage choices will be locked. After this, there will be seat allocation, document verification will be done and finally you will have to report to the given institute.
For admission in IITs, it is necessary that the candidate has passed the JEE Advanced exam. Whereas for admission in institutes like IIITs, NITs, IEST and GFTIs, it is necessary to pass the JEE Main exam.

Admission will be given on this basis
During JoSAA registration, candidates can fill in many choices of courses and colleges according to their rank. They will also enter the order of preference such as which institute and course is most important for them and which comes next. In this way, the entire list will be filled.
Admission in the institute or course will be given on the basis of how many candidates have applied, what is their rank, how many seats are available in that course or institute etc. On the basis of these, the first list of selected candidates will be released. This counselling will be completed in several rounds.
