The court on Monday extended the judicial custody of AAP leader Manish Sisodia till July 26 in a corruption case related to the excise scam. Special Judge Kaveri Baveja of Rouse Avenue Court passed the order when Sisodia was produced before the court on expiry of the judicial custody period granted to him earlier. The court had on April 30 rejected Sisodia’s bail plea in the corruption and related money laundering cases registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged scam.

The court took cognizance of the chargesheet against K. Kavitha
The court on Monday took cognizance of the supplementary chargesheet filed against jailed BRS leader K Kavitha in a corruption case related to the excise policy scam. Special judge for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cases Kaveri Baveja took note of the chargesheet and said there was sufficient evidence to proceed against him in the case. The judge also directed the CBI to provide copies of the supplementary chargesheet to Kavitha, who appeared before the court through video conference.
