The results of the Gujarat assembly elections are out. This time the Bharatiya Janata Party has created a new record. In Gujarat, which has 182 assembly seats, 156 BJP candidates won the elections. The Congress suffered the most. The Congress came straight down to 17 from 77 seats. Means Congress had to bear the loss of 60 seats. BJP’s Sanjay Sukhabhai Koradia defeated sitting MLA and Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Galabhai Joshi by 40,256 votes in Junagadh assembly seat in Junagadh district. BJP candidate got 84,616 votes while Congress got 44,360 votes here. The third number was AAP’s Chetankumar Harsukhbhai Gajera. He got 28,306 votes, which was 17.4 percent of the total votes. The deposits of six including the BSP candidate were forfeited. Whereas, NOTA got 2,002 votes.
