On Sunday, 251 people from across the country and the world were honored with the Kabir Kohinoor at the Dr. Ambedkar International Center located at Janpath. All of them are working in genres like environment, drug addiction, social reform, women power, handicraft, literature, music, environment and poetry writing. During this, the book ‘Contribution of Sadhguru Kabir in the making of modern India’ was released in 28 languages. After this, another book ‘Narendra Modi Universe Ka Chamakta Tara’ was also released.

The function was organized under the aegis of Mahant Dr. Nanak Das Ji Maharaj, founder president of Sadguru Kabir Ashram Seva Sansthan. In this, apart from the Chief Guest PSC Railway Board Chairman Rameshchandra Ratan, Honorary Vice Chancellor of Zimbabwe University Dr. Saurabh Pandey, Dr. Lokesh Muni, Acharya of Vishwa Bharati, Mahant Sudhirdas of Ayodhya Dham, Mahant Narendra Saheb, Shashikant Yadav, Bhamashah Shankarlal Kularia, Ramdhan Potlia , Dr. Parin Somani, Padmashree Himmataram Shambu, Dr. BL Gaur, Indrajit Sharma and former Union Minister CR Chowdhary among others. Especially Mahant Vichardas Maharaj of Maghar was also involved in the programme.

Mahant Dr. Nanak Das Ji Maharaj, litterateur Dr. Abhishek Kumar and senior journalist Dr. Shambhu Panwar were honored with honorary doctorates by Dr. Saurabh Pandey, Honorary Vice-Chancellor of Zimbabwe University. Kaluram Bawandiya forced everyone to dive into the depths of spirituality by singing bhajans of Kabir. Man laga mora yaar fakiri mein, woh sukh nahi ameeri mein and dhrein gaadi hoonko mere Ram gaadi waale mein bhajans forced everyone to dance with emotion.

Mahant Nanak Das Ji Maharaj said that the next Kabir Kohinoor Samman ceremony will be held in London. Srishti Gulati, the youngest in the program, also received the Kabir Kohinoor Samman. Srishti holds the record for getting the highest number of certificates at the age of seven. So far, 720 certificates, 90 awards and 24 medals have been won in genres like dance, painting, fashion show.
