Who is Kakabhushundi?
First of all, the story of Shri Ram was narrated by Lord Shri Shankar to Mother Parvati. A crow also heard that story. The same crow was reborn as Kagbhusundi. Kakbhushundi completely remembered the story of Ram that she had heard from Lord Shankar in her previous birth. He narrated this story to his disciples. In this way the story of Ram was spread. This sacred story of Shri Ram, which came from the mouth of Lord Shankar, is famous by the name of ‘Adhyatma Ramayana’. Due to the curse of Kakabhushundi Lomash Rishi, Kakabhushundi had become a crow. To be free from the curse, Sage Lomash gave him the boon of Ram Mantra and voluntary death. It is said that he spent his entire life in the form of a crow. Even before Valmiki, Kakabhushundi had narrated Ramayana to the vulture king Garuda. After getting the body of a crow, due to getting the Ram Mantra, he fell in love with that body and started living in the form of a crow and later became famous by the name of Kakabhushundi.
