Kalki 2898 AD Box Office: Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s much awaited film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is on the verge of release. Recently the trailer of this film was released, which got a good response from the audience. Now the countdown for the film has begun.
Apart from Prabhas and Deepika, this film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. This multi-starrer film is going to be released on June 27. Earlier, thousands of tickets have been sold for the opening day of the film in Australia and the film has earned lakhs of rupees.
5 thousand tickets sold for opening day in Australia
Kalki will be released worldwide on 27 June 2024. The film is also going to be released in Australia. Mainly Australia is not considered a big market for Indian films, however Kalki has already worked its magic in Australia many days before its release. So far 5 thousand tickets have been sold for the opening day.
Earned in millions
Kalki has earned lakhs of rupees before its release in Australia. The total amount of 5 thousand tickets was 1,50,199 Australian dollars (83 lakh rupees). Apart from Hindi, the film will be released in Australia in four languages including Telugu. Let us tell you that 216 tickets of its Hindi version and 4779 tickets of Telugu version have been sold. Apart from this, people have also bought tickets of other versions.
3300 2D and 1000 IMAX tickets were sold
Of the more than 5000 tickets of Kalki 2898 AD sold in Australia, more than 1000 tickets were purchased in IMAX format. Whereas people have purchased 3300 tickets for 2D format. Tickets are still being sold for its opening day.
The director said- there are less science fiction films in India
On the other hand, Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin has said that there are less science fiction films in India. He said about the film at IIT Bombay, “In India, we do not have a lot of science-fiction films. We have done some time travel films. This is different because it is in a whole different world in itself. Also, in the international sense, it is new because we have not seen India in a futuristic setting or a dystopian setting. So now we do not have to look in London and New York, now we can look in our cities as well.”
Kalki’s budget is Rs 600 crore
‘Kalki’ directed by Nag Ashwin is a big budget film. The makers have spent Rs 600 crore on it. This film is going to be released on June 27 in a total of 5 languages including Telugu and Hindi.
