Kalki 2898 AD Breaks Jawan Record: Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has created another history in terms of earnings on Sunday. Kalki has now become the highest earning Indian film on the opening weekend in India.
Kalki broke Jawaan’s record
Kalki 2898 AD married Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan It has broken the big record of the film ‘Jawaan’ released in the year 2023. According to Bollywood Hungama, Jawaan was the highest first weekend collection Indian film in India with earnings of Rs 286.16 crore. But now this crown has adorned the head of Kalki 2898 AD.
Kalki has broken the record of Jawaan on the fourth day of its release i.e. on Sunday. According to the report of Saccanilk, Kalki’s collection at the Indian box office on Sunday has reached Rs 292.19 crores till 8:25 pm. Kalki has left Jawaan in the dust. However, these are initial figures. There can be further growth in these. Now it will be very interesting to see how much Prabhas’ film is able to go ahead of Jawaan in terms of opening weekend collection.
He also beat Pathan
Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed Shah Rukh’s Jawan as well as his other film ‘Pathan’. Pathan was the second highest grossing film after Jawan at the domestic box office in the first weekend. Pathan’s first weekend collection was Rs 280.75 crore. Kalki has shattered the records of both Pathan and Jawan together.
Know Kalki’s first day India collection
The film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone was released worldwide on June 27 in five languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film earned more than Rs 191 crore worldwide on the first day. Its opening day collection at the Indian box office was Rs 95.3 crore.
2nd and 3rd Day India Collection
Whereas on the second day, the film’s earnings saw a drop of 39.56%. But still the film’s earnings broke records. The film earned Rs 57.6 crores in India on the second day. On the third day, i.e. Saturday, the film’s earnings saw a jump. On Saturday, its collection at the Indian box office was recorded at Rs 64.5 crores.
Sunday is Kalki’s fourth day in theatres and the last day of the opening weekend. The film’s run of making money is still continuing. The film has earned 74.79 crores on the fourth day so far.
