Emergency: The film ‘Emergency’, directed by Kangana Ranaut, has been banned in Bangladesh. Due to the current tense relations between India and Bangladesh, the neighboring country took this decision. The film ‘Emergency’ is based on the emergency declared in India by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975.
‘Emergency’ depicts the role of the Indian Army and Indira Gandhi’s government in the 1971 Bangladeshi War of Independence and the support given to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, known as the ‘Father of Bangladesh’.
Banned because of this
According to a source related to the matter, “The decision to stop the screening of ‘Emergency’ in Bangladesh is related to the current strained relations between India and Bangladesh. This ban is less due to the theme of the film and more due to the ongoing political strained relations between the two countries. Is from.”
The film also depicts the assassination of Mujibur Rahman at the hands of Bangladeshi extremists, which is believed to be the reason why the film was banned in Bangladesh.
‘Emergency’ is ready to be released in Indian theaters in three days. Set to release on January 17, ‘Emergency’ depicts an important event in Indian history. At present unstable diplomatic relations are being seen between India and Bangladesh.
However, ‘Emergency’ is not alone in the list of Indian films facing ban in neighboring country Bangladesh. Earlier, films like ‘Pushpa 2’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ were also stopped from releasing in Bangladesh.
This film was initially scheduled to be released in the year 2024 but it was postponed due to not getting the certificate from the Censor Board. Now that everything is clear, Kangana is releasing it on January 17. His fans were eagerly waiting for this film.
