Kannauj: 11 Year Old Police Encounter Story Is False, Court Acquits All Three Accused – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Saurikh police station’s 11 year old encounter story was found to be false in the court. The court acquitted all three accused. Two accused lodged in jail were provided free legal aid under the Legal Services Authority. On September 28, 2013, the then Inspector of Police Station Saurikh had lodged a report of police encounter against Mohit Sharma, resident of village Rakspalpur, Kotwali Kayamganj of Farrukhabad district, Rohit Chaurasia and Ankesh, residents of Kotwali Mohammadabad Mohalla Azadnagar.

The police arrested all three and sent them to jail. The investigator had filed a charge sheet against all three in the court. Ankesh is out on bail, Mohit Sharma and Rohit Chaurasia were lodged in the district jail for four months. Free legal aid was provided to both of them by Legal Services Authority Secretary Lovely Jaiswal.

Chief Defense Counsel Shwetank Arun Tiwari was appointed. Arguments from both sides were presented before Additional District Judge I Lokesh Varun, who was hearing the case. The prosecution’s story of the police encounter was found to be false. The judge ordered the acquittal of all three accused in the police encounter case. Mohit Sharma and Rohit, who came to appear from jail, could not stop tears from their eyes after hearing the decision. After getting justice, he expressed happiness over getting legal aid.
