Kannauj News: A horrific road accident took place on the Eastern Bypass. A car coming from the wrong direction collided with a truck. Two youths died in the accident. While one was seriously injured.

On the eastern bypass of GT Road in Kannauj, a car going in the wrong direction collided with a truck coming from the front late Saturday night. Two of the three youths travelling in the car died on the spot in the accident, while the condition of one youth is critical. He has been admitted to the district hospital. The deceased were residents of the city itself. The police have seized the truck, while the driver fled from the spot.

On Saturday night around 11 o’clock, a Brezza car going in the wrong direction at high speed collided with a truck coming from the front in front of Jalalpur Sarwan village near the Eastern Bypass on GT Road. Ranju Thakur (35) and Anshul Sinha (32), residents of Mohalla Devin Tola Saraimira, who were travelling in the car, died on the spot, while Govind Rathore (30), a resident of Tiwari Mohalla, was seriously injured. Villagers told that the car was coming at a high speed from Delhi on the highway. On information from the villagers, Sadar Kotwal Kapil Dubey reached the spot and took all three out of the car. With the help of an ambulance, they were taken to the emergency ward of the district hospital.
