A big accident happened in the evening in Gursahaiganj town of Kannauj district due to the negligence of the electricity department. The high tension wire broke and fell on seven houses. About 38 people were injured in the accident. Seven of them have been admitted to a private hospital. The victims said that they kept screaming and writhing in pain for about 15 minutes. A person from the locality went to the substation on a bike and got the supply disconnected, only then the flow of current stopped. Seven seriously injured people have been admitted to a private hospital.

In Mohalla Seemant Nagar of Gursahaiganj, people were inside their homes during the rain at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. At the same time, the HT power line wire passing above the houses of Nanhe, Abdul Gaffar, Haseeb, Waheed, Usman, Naushad and Mohammad Nayab suddenly broke and fell. Due to this, high voltage current started flowing in these houses. People fell unconscious after getting hit by the current. Due to the continuous flow of current, the people nearby were not able to help, then some people reached the power substation. After this, the power supply was stopped.

After the Gandhinagar feeder of Gursahaiganj was shut down, people helped the injured. About 38 people, including women, were hit by high voltage current, out of which about seven people have suffered serious burns. All of them were taken to a private hospital for treatment. Two to three seriously injured people have also been referred to the Government Medical College.
