IIT Kanpur’s annual cultural festival Antaragni and literary festival Akshar had a grand start on Thursday. Inauguration Prof. Shalabh, Prof. Tarun Gupta, Prof. Kantesh Balani, Prof. Ark Verma, Registrar Vishwaranjan, Prof. Vaibhav Srivastava and others did it. The main attraction of the first day was Rock Night. The band All India Permit was included in this. His hit song Awara Shaam Hai… enthralled the audience.
The diversity of culture was visible in the festival which started with a unique confluence of syncretic Jat culture and creativity. Teams from all over the country continued to arrive on the first day of Antaragni. Rock Night was followed by Talent Fiesta, where the participants showcased their abilities through music, dance and other programs. The night’s events concluded with the major fashion show Ritambhara. The models confidently presented stunning outfits and innovative designs on the ramp.
Shivani’s story appreciated
Shivani’s story in Akshar programme, Himanshu Bajpayee and Pragya Sharma brought the story alive in Dastangoi Dastan-e-Sahir Ludhianvi. Various artists presented their performances in the open mic.
