A woman has filed a complaint against her husband who is posted as a constable in UP Police. It is alleged that the husband married a woman from another community. It is alleged that last year the second wife and her family members together tried to kill her and her unborn child. The husband also beat her up when she complained to the higher authorities. The police have registered a complaint and started investigating the case.
Sudha Singh, originally from Mainpuri, was married to constable Ravindra Kumar Singh 11 years ago. They have a ten-month-old son. It is alleged that the husband did not fulfill any responsibility. He changed his lifestyle. Chamanganj resident Shufia Parveen alias Akira and her family brainwashed her husband and turned him against her. Ravindra reached home on the night of 30 August 2023. Shortly after, Shufia, her brother Iftikhar, Israr entered the house. They tried to kill him and the child in his womb. On 27 October 2023, the husband tried to hang himself.
