The viral infection is descending into the lungs. Patients first have nose and throat allergies. After this, pneumonia occurs after chest tightness. The viral infection is proving to be more fatal for kidney, liver, cancer, asthma and COPD patients. On Wednesday, two patients died of pneumonia. Along with this, the kidneys of five patients got damaged. Asthma and COPD patients were admitted in the emergency of Hallet. The condition of respiratory system patients is worsening after the viral infection.

The highest number of patients in Hallet OPD were of viral infection. Along with this, patients of diarrhea and gastroenteritis got themselves examined. Serious patients were admitted in the emergency. After viral infection, Fazalganj patient Vinod Kumar (54) fell victim to pneumonia. He died on Wednesday morning. The family members told that the patient was shown to the OPD of Chest Hospital. Similarly, Jagannath (61) of Lalbangla died of pneumonia. His son Rajesh told that he already had asthma. He died before reaching Hallet. Hallet’s Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. RK Singh said that there was half OPD. Due to this, fewer patients came. 50 patients were admitted in the emergency.
