While working in a bicycle pedal and cushion manufacturing factory located in Ruma Industrial Area, a girl got both her hands amputated after being hit by a machine. The company director assured of treatment, but backed off after a few days. The distressed girl has filed a case against four people including factory owner Ankit Arora.
Kunti (24), a resident of Mahua village of Maharajpur, told that she used to work in the factory making glander machines for the last four years. Earlier the machine was autocut, but for some time the starter of the machine was not working, about which he had complained several times to the company owner Ankit Arora. No hearing took place. When asked to do other work, he was forced to operate the machine.
She was sitting near the machine after the electricity went off at around 4 pm on 27th September. Meanwhile the owner asked to clean the machine. Meanwhile, due to electricity, the machine started running and both his hands were cut off from the shoulder. After the accident, the manager and owner of the company admitted him to the hospital where after undergoing treatment for 19 days, he stopped paying the money. When the girl and her family asked for treatment, they started threatening her. Maharajpur police station incharge said that the matter is being investigated after registering an FIR.
Parents died in childhood
The victim told that her parents had died in her childhood. His brothers took care of him. After the marriage of the brothers, he also became independent in his family. In such a situation, there is no one to support him.
