Three players from Kanpur will be seen playing in the second season of the UP T-20 League starting on 23 August. These include opener Aadarsh Singh, who was a member of the Under-19 World Cup team, IPL player Ankit Rajput and Ranji player Almas Shaukat. Aadarsh will be a part of the Kanpur Superstars team this time too. However, the team did not retain him this time, so his name was in the auction.

This time the Kanpur Superstars team has bought him by bidding Rs 6 lakh 20 thousand. The other two players have been bought at a lower price than him. Ankit Rajput was bought by Gorakhpur Lions by bidding Rs 5 lakh and Almas was bought by Kashi Rudransh team by bidding Rs 5 lakh 60 thousand.
Adarsh, son of farmer Narendra Kumar Singh and Manju Lata Singh, originally from Jaunpur, practices cricket while living in Barra-8, Kanpur. Adarsh came to Kanpur at the age of three, since then he has been learning cricket along with his studies while living in a rented house with his brother Ankit Singh. On the basis of his ability, he made his place as an opening batsman in the Indian team of the Under-19 World Cup played in the year 2023. Adarsh scored 240 runs in three ODI matches and 450 runs in three four-day matches.
