Kapil Sharma Show Fame Ali Asgar: ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’s Dadi i.e. Ali Asgar has made a name for himself in every household with his comedy. Ali Asgar’s Dadi character has made the audience laugh a lot. Even today, people know the actor more by the name of Dadi. Ali has worked in The Kapil Sharma Show from 2013 to 2016. Ali Asgar played the character of Talli Dadi in The Kapil Sharma Show. His role was well liked, his sudden leaving the show surprised everyone.
Ali replied when the role of ‘Daadi’ was called vulgar
Now recently, popular actor of ‘Shaktimaan’ show Mukesh Khanna called Ali Asgar’s grandmother character vulgar. On this, Ali replied to Mukesh Khanna and said, “This is my personal choice. So I can’t say anything. People always ask why they make a boy a girl. I think the reason for this is that no one’s grandmother will be like mine. Nor will she be so full of energy.”
Ali further said, ‘Our shooting time is very less. After shooting two episodes in a day, we used to shoot very late at night. Gags and integration had to happen, so it used to be very late. Now, in all this, if you make an actress a grandmother, then being an old woman, it would be difficult for her to shoot for such long hours.’
‘Don’t heroines work all night?’
When Mukesh Khanna interrupted Ali and said, ‘This is not the right reason, don’t heroines work overnight?’ Ali said, ‘My second reason is that when we make a boy into a woman, it is not an original character in itself. So, we can have a lot of fun. Since it is not an original character, there is no reason to be angry.’
Let us tell you that Ali used to play the role of Dadi in Comedy Nights with Kapil from 2013 to 2016. Later, he returned as Nani in The Kapil Sharma Show from 2016 to 2017. Recalling his working days with Kapil Sharma, the actor said, ‘The base of the show is a family which is full of glamour. Whatever characters we have played in the show, we will make fun of ourselves before making fun of anyone else.’ Kapil Sharma has recently finished The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Ali was not a part of it. The show will soon return with its second season.
