If river bath is not possible then you can also take bath by adding drops of Ganga water in the bath water.
  • While taking bath on Kartik Purnima, meditate on the holy places and after bathing, first of all offer Arghya to the Sun.
  • After offering Arghya to the Sun God, before consuming food and water, donate fruits, sesame seeds, food, clothes etc. to the needy.
  • On Kartik Purnima, donate a lamp (Deepdan) in the evening near a river, pond, temple, courtyard, balcony or under the open sky.
  • On Kartik Purnima, a ghee lamp must be lit near Tulsi and also at the main entrance in the evening. Mother Lakshmi is pleased with this.
