In Agra, Uttar Pradesh, married women were busy preparing for Karva Chauth for many days. The festival was celebrated with great pomp in homes and societies on Sunday. After keeping a waterless fast the whole day, the married women performed 16 adornments and offered Arghya to the moon in the evening.
