Arun Kumar Shukla, priest of Durga Mata temple located at Chowk Mandi, said that the moon will rise at 7.40 pm on Sunday. Only then will the fasting brides offer water and food to the moon.
Method of worship on Karva Chauth
Pt. Arun Kumar Shukla told that on Karva Chauth, married women should wear red clothes, this color of clothes is considered a sign of marriage. Married women should do puja after doing 16 adornments. Offer makeup material to Goddess Parvati and fill an earthen pot with water and keep it at the place of worship.
