A tragic train accident took place at Platform 5 of Katni Junction, in which a person resident of Darbhanga, Bihar died after being hit by the train. After getting information about the matter, the RPF team immediately took out the body and sent the train to the next station.
According to the information, the name of the deceased was said to be Surya Narayan Bhagat, who along with his wife Lalita Bai was going 1910 km to Surat from his home in Darbhanga, Bihar in search of employment. Then the train stopped at platform 5 of Katni Junction and Surya Narayan, a resident of Singwada, went near the tap installed in the platform to wash his hands and started drinking water after washing his hands. Then the train started moving. Then, while getting nervous while boarding the train, his foot slipped and he came under the moving train. This was the reason of his death. The wife immediately pulled the chain and called the RPF team on duty for help and brought the body to the district hospital.
Lalita Devi, wife of the deceased, told that she was going from Singwara in Bihar to Surat in search of employment with her husband. Then he died after being hit by a train in Katni, in which his mobile was also broken, somehow the information was conveyed to his family. They will be handed over to us tomorrow after post-mortem. At present, the victim has requested the district administration for an ambulance to go to her home located 718 km away.
