In the latest episode of ‘KBC 16’, Krishna Selukkar of Maharashtra got a chance to sit on the hot seat in front of Amitabh Bachchan. Krishna played the game brilliantly. While sharing his story, he also made Big B emotional.

When Big B got scolded by his father for being a lefty

Host Amitabh Bachchan gives the first question for Rs 20,000 to Krishna. Which was- This is a place of worship of which religion? Krishna chose option B) Buddhism. After answering a few questions, Big B talks to Krishna and asks him what he is doing these days. Krishna reveals that he is preparing for the MPSC exam. He further tells that he is staying in a hostel in Pune.


In a heartwarming conversation with Amitabh Bachchan, Krishna recounts the story of sharing a hostel room with eight others, which matches Big B’s memories of living in close quarters in Kolkata. “After completing my studies, I went to Kolkata to find a job and luckily I got one there. They paid me Rs 400 per month. In those days, I also lived with eight people in a room. It was a lot of fun because there were eight of us and two beds, we had to sleep on the floor sometimes, sometimes on one side or the other, but we were very happy with each other,” he says.

Big B shared the story on the stage of KBC

Along with this, Amitabh Bachchan revealed a memorable incident from his childhood and said that in childhood his father scolded him for writing with his left hand, due to which he started writing with his right hand instead. On the other hand, Krishna told that he can write with both hands.


On this, Big B says, ‘Sir, you and I are going to make a great pair… I am also a lefty but I also write with my right hand. When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I used to write with my left hand. However, my father scolded me and insisted that I start writing with the right hand. So I started writing with the right hand.
