Kerala Veteran Malayalam Actor Former Lok Sabha MP Innocent Passed Away


Malayalam Actor Innocent Demise: Former MP and veteran Malayalam actor Innocent Vareed Thekkethala has passed away. He breathed his last on Sunday (March 26) at a private hospital in Kochi, Kerala. He was 75 years old. According to news agency ANI, it was told by the hospital that Innocent died due to corona infection, respiratory diseases, multi-organ failure and heart attack.

Former Lok Sabha member Innocent was hospitalized since March 3. He was undergoing treatment at VPS Lakeshore Hospital in Kochi. On Sunday (March 26), a medical bulletin was issued by VPS Lakeshore Hospital informing about the demise of the former MP.

Innocent was also a cancer survivor and was reportedly ailing for some time. On 3 March, he was admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathlessness and uneasiness. In 2012, he came to know about cancer. In 2015, he announced his recovery from cancer. Innocent has left behind his wife and two children at home.

MP was made from this seat in 2014

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Innocent contested as an LDF-backed independent candidate from Chalakudy constituency in Kerala, in which he won and became a Member of Parliament. Then he defeated PC Chacko of Congress by more than 13 thousand votes. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he lost from the same seat to Benny Behanan of the Congress. Please tell that Innocent was also the former president of ‘Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes’.
