There are many such things which are being made since ancient times and it is available to the people with its same old style and taste. One of them is Kheermohan sweets available in Khaira market. Which is its first sweet here.
Although there are many sweets which have been made since the past, but many of them are not commonly found in the markets now. There are some people who are still following that practice. One of them is Janardan Prasad Gupta, a resident of Khaira Bazar, who has been making delicious Kheer Mohan sweets for more than 20 years.
Earlier only this sweet was made
Janardan Prasad Gupta told that there was a time when Khaira used to make only this sweet in the market. At that time there were many shops in which only sweets were made. In the changing times, many shops and new markets came to the fore and the era of old sweets gradually ended. Janardan Gupta’s shop is the only sweet shop in the whole district, where this sweet has been being made for so long.

It is noteworthy that now kheermohan is being made in different shops in the district. But people come from far and wide to eat Kheer Mohan of Janardan Prasad Gupta’s shop. This sweet is rarely made, due to which people wait for it from morning till evening. Janardan Prasad Gupta is running the shop along with his wife for the last 20 years. Waking up every morning prepare milk and start making sweets from it. After working hard from morning till evening, they prepare it. People come to buy their sweets in the evening. Sometimes people have to wait too. 200 pieces are sold daily. Kheermohan sells at Rs.10 a piece and Rs.200 per kg.
