Suryakumar Yadav: Indian team’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav had become an important part of the T20 team since his debut, now he has also been made the vice-captain of the team. Surya has come a long way to become the vice-captain of the Indian team within just one and a half years. At present, he is also the number one batsman in T20 International. This year, Surya has been the batsman with the highest strike rate in T20 International. In 2022, he has scored runs in T20 International at a strike rate of 187.43. Did debut in 2021
Surya made his T20 International debut for the Indian team on March 14, 2021. About 20 months after his debut, he became the number one batsman in T20 International. He achieved the title of becoming the number one batsman of T20 International on 2 November 2022.
After this, in the very next month i.e. on 27 December, he was made the vice-captain of the Indian team in T20 International. Actually, Suryakumar Yadav was appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian team for the domestic T20 series to be played against Sri Lanka from 3rd January. Surya was made the vice-captain of the Indian team only after about one and a half years from his debut.
International career has been like this so far
Surya has so far played a total of 42 T20 International matches for the Indian team, scoring 1408 runs at an average of 44 and a strike rate of 180.98. During this, 2 centuries and 12 half-centuries have come out of his bat. Whereas in July 2021, he made his ODI debut and since then, Surya has played a total of 16 ODIs for India, in which he has scored 384 runs at an average of 32. In this, he has scored 2 half-centuries.
