Health News: By using condom, not only can sexually transmitted diseases be avoided but it is also said to be the easiest method of population control. Health experts have been advising the use of condoms to prevent diseases like AIDS, but sadly, despite so much publicity, people avoid using condoms.
On one hand, awareness and promotion about the use of condoms is being done all over the world, but many people still consider it inconvenient and taboo. Let us know how many people use condoms in the world.
How many people use condoms in the world?
Although the figures regarding the use of condoms are very less, still people are becoming aware about it. The report of Condom Alliance says that while in 1994 only 64 million people in the world used condoms, in 2021 the number of people using it has increased to 190 million.
If seen, women believe in it more than men to prevent unwanted pregnancy. The report says that 33 percent of the world’s women use condoms to prevent unwanted pregnancy. If we talk only about countries, then Statista’s survey shows that Brazil is the country where condoms are used the most. Here 65 percent people use condoms. If we talk about sales, China is at the forefront in this matter.
Why avoid using condoms
This is a big question. Even in a country with a large population like India, people shy away from using condoms and even talking about it. The mentality of men is a big reason behind this. According to a survey, men feel that if they use condoms during sex, they will get less physical pleasure. For this reason, married and unmarried people hesitate in using condoms. The second reason is the taboo behind it.
Men who have sex for the first time think that if they use a condom, they may be labeled a playboy. At the same time, women hesitate in asking their partner to use condom during sex.
