Farming is done without soil using hydroponic technology. This farming is done through pipes. Holes are made in the top of the pipe and plants are planted in those holes. The roots of plants remain submerged in water pipes. All the nutrients for plants are dissolved in this water. For this, a temperature of 15 to 30 degrees is suitable. And the humidity remains correct at 80 to 85%. The government is also promoting farming using this hydroponic technique. Up to 50% subsidy is being given on this by the government.
How to get subsidy for this?
The central government is giving subsidy to farmers doing farming using hydroponics method. Along with this, many state governments are also giving subsidies. The National Horticulture Board has made different rules for subsidy for all the states. Under these rules, subsidy is being given on applying for it. Due to which, more profits can be earned by doing hydroponic farming at lower cost. Maharashtra government has announced to give 50% subsidy to the farmers who use this technology for animal feed.
