Material

  • One cup: Idli batter
  • two eggs
  • 1 tomato: chopped
  • One onion: chopped
  • 1/4 : Rava
  • finely chopped green onions
  • salt to taste
  • One small spoon: Baking soda
  • One small spoon: Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp: Chilli flakes

  • To make egg appe, first prepare the idli batter in a bowl. Mix the batter well.
  • Now add two eggs to this batter and beat it well.
  • Put chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, green onions, salt as per taste, baking soda in it and keep it to mix well.
  • Keep in mind that there should not be any lumps in the batter, otherwise the appe will not be cooked properly.
  • Now put the appe stand on the gas to heat it, when the stand becomes hot, put some oil in it so that it can be tempered.
  • When the oil is hot, put mustard seeds and chili flakes in it, when it starts crackling, cover the stand by adding one spoonful of batter.
  • When one side is cooked for 5 minutes, cook the appe from the other side and when it turns golden brown from both the sides, turn off the gas.
  • Your own are just ready, you can serve it hot with coconut chutney.
