Students passing this examination get a chance to be selected for the post of Sub Lieutenant in the Indian Navy, Lieutenant in the Indian Army and Flight Lieutenant in the Indian Air Force.
Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)
Indian Navy Entrance Examination (INET) is a great opportunity for an officer post under IHQ MoD (Navy)/DMPR. This entrance exam is available for both Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission. INET is organized twice every year. You can apply by visiting www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. INET (Officer) is a computer based written examination. It consists of four sections and the candidate has to obtain at least 40% marks in all the four sections. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of INET rank and priority. Shortlisted candidates attend SSB (Service Selection Board) interview. Merit list is prepared on the basis of marks of both INET 50% and SSB 50% weightage and they are inducted into the Navy.
