Two terrorists arrested in Howrah: Big news has come out from Howrah in West Bengal. STF of Kolkata Police has arrested two suspected terrorists from Howrah. Both the accused are accused of having links with the dreaded terrorist organization ISIS. One of the arrested accused is said to be a student of M.Tech.
Many suspicious documents have been recovered from the arrested people. STF claims that the accused are involved in Jihadi activities and used to brainwash the youth through social media. Both the accused have been sent to police custody till January 19.
Police had been watching for a long time
A senior police officer told the media that both the accused were being monitored for a long time. A team of Kolkata Police STF picked up both from their hideout at Aftabuddin Munshi Lane in Tikiapara on Friday (January 06) night. According to sources, the accused were about to organize a secret meeting in Khidirpur. Both also had plans to collect weapons.
Both the accused have been identified
One of the accused has been identified as Gul Mohammad Saddam, r/o Aftabuddin Munsi Lane, Tikiapara, Howrah. He is studying M. Tech. The father of the accused is retired from the Railways. And the name of the other accused is Saeed Hussain. Police allege that both are in direct contact with terrorist handlers from Pakistan and several countries in Central Asia.
Sent to police custody till January 19
According to special sources of STF, the accused were promoting seditious, radical fundamentalism on social media. The main objective was to brainwash the youth community and involve them in Jihadi activities. According to sources, a laptop, 2 mobile phones have been recovered from the arrested accused. Both the accused have been produced in the Bankshal court by the police. At present, the court has sent both the accused to police custody till January 19.
