KKR vs DC: On April 3, the 16th match of IPL 2024 was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. KKR scored 272 runs while playing first. Apart from the half-centuries of Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Andre Russell’s stormy innings of 41 runs also took Kolkata to a big score. While chasing the target, Delhi Capitals had a very bad start from which they could not recover till the end. He hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in this innings. In the last overs, Andre Russell made 41 runs and Rinku Singh also made an important contribution by playing a cameo inning of 26 runs in 8 balls. Kolkata defeated Delhi’s bowlers by scoring 135 runs in the first 10 overs and 137 runs in the last 10 overs.

Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs’ hard work went in vain

The beginning of the innings was very bad for Delhi Capitals. DC had lost 4 important wickets within the first 33 runs. After that, there was a 93-run partnership between Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs for the fifth wicket, but it proved to be insufficient to take DC to victory. Pant played an important inning of 55 runs in 25 balls and Stubbs played an important inning of 54 runs in 32 balls. After that the team kept losing wickets continuously, due to which Delhi had to face a big defeat of 106 runs.

Dominance of KKR bowlers

Apart from batting, Kolkata Knight Riders also maintained their dominance in bowling. Varun Chakraborty took 3 wickets for 33 runs in his 4 overs. At the same time, Mitchell Starc has also opened his wicket account in IPL 2024. He took 2 wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs. Meanwhile, Vaibhav Arora also impressed, who took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. Sunil Narine and Andre Russell also took one wicket each.
