After the outbreak of Corona infection in China, now the danger of fourth wave of infection is looming in India as well. The tension of the Government of India has increased due to the Omicron variant of Corona spreading in China. BF.7 and BA.5.2 of the Omicron variant are such sub-variants, due to which there has been an uproar in China. Due to the increasing cases of Kovid infection in China, an alert has also been issued in India. The tension regarding Kovid in the country has increased so much because four cases of Omicron’s BF.7 strain have been reported in India as well.
The first case of BF.7 strain came to light in Gujarat in October. Now the total number of cases of this sub-variant in the country has increased to four, which is a matter of concern. Gujarat has 3 cases of BF.7 sub-variant, while 1 case has been reported in Odisha. An alert may have been issued regarding Corona in the country, but there is no need to panic now. This new variant (BF.7) of Omicron is known to spread very fast and one of its specialties is that its incubation time (time from getting infected till symptoms of infection appear) is also very short. Dr. Ravindra Gupta of the Department of Internal Medicine at CK Birla Hospital in Gurugram says that at this time there is a possibility of spread of Kovid all over the world due to people traveling around the world. The BF.7 sub-variant of Omicron is the reason for the havoc of Corona in China. This is the same strain, which has broken the back of the country which patted itself on the back in the case of Corona. It is spreading rapidly from people to people. Its incubation time is also less. China’s epidemiologist Eric Dengyi claims that this virus could cause the death of millions of people across China in the next few months.
The fourth vaccine can prevent serious conditions
Dr. Gupta says that the symptoms of BF.7 are also like other sub-variants of Omicron, such as fever, cough, sore throat and runny nose etc. There is a possibility that this variant can kill one million people in China. There is also a possibility that if people have got three doses of the vaccine, then they can be protected from this wave. He said that therefore it is very important for everyone to be alert and get the Covid vaccine. The fourth vaccine can be helpful in preventing this serious condition.
