Kumar Sanu on not singing for Bollywood: There was a time in the history of Bollywood when the voices of Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu were very popular. But now we don’t get to hear the new songs of these singers. Yes, remix versions of their old songs are definitely being released. Recently, Kumar Sanu has revealed the reason why he is not singing new Bollywood songs.
In an interview to Hindustan Times, Kumar Sanu said, ‘My journey has been very good so far, everyone in the industry respects me. But the biggest thing is that people respect me, love me, and also listen to my songs. But I don’t know why they are not using my voice in Hindi films and for songs.’
‘If we can sing, why don’t you make us sing?’
The singer further said- ‘This question comes to mind, when I am in front of them, they are showing so much love. I don’t know if it is real or not. Whatever it is, they definitely give respect. If we can sing, then why don’t they make us sing? Why doesn’t it come to their mind? I am doing shows, I have fans. Wherever I go, I see that the shows are being sold out. There is public demand.’
Kumar Sanu is bringing a set of live shows
Kumar Sanu further says that he is coming up with another set of live shows in October and November this year. He said- ‘If the industry people understand then it is a good thing, otherwise it is their misfortune.’ Let us tell you that Kumar Sanu last lent his voice to the song ‘Dard Karara’ from Ayushman Khurana’s film ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ released in 2015. After this, in the year 2018, his voice was also heard in the recreation of ‘Simmba’, ‘Aankh Maare’.
